It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Stéphane “Steph” Aubé, on Wednesday June 5, 2019 at the age of 45 years. Loving husband of Katherine Aubé (nee Tomasik) of Sudbury. Beloved father of Rylan (age 10), Bryston (age 8) and Cullen (age 4), all of Sudbury. Cherished son of Denise Aubé (nee Laviolette) of Timmins and the late Léon Aubé (predeceased May 2018). Dear brother of Tania of Winnipeg, Chantal (Randy Samuels) of Saskatoon. Proud uncle of Raeyale and Nadège Samuels of Saskatoon. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Stéphane was born in Timmins on March 28, 1974. He made Sudbury his home for the last 15 years. Stéphane was a licensed Funeral Director for over 20 years. He was dedicated to the community of Sudbury by volunteering his time with the Lions Club of Sudbury, the Heart & Stroke Foundation and most recently to the John Howard Socitey. Stéphane was also the recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 Award. Stéphane was the founder of Simple Wishes of the North Cremation and Burial Services in Sudbury. Spending time with his 3 boys brought him the greatest joy. His goal in life was to provide his boys with a bright future. Stéphane will be remembered for his generosity, his kindness and his compassion. The Aubé family will receive relatives and friends at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street Sudbury Tuesday June 18, 2019 from 6-8 pm. Panachyda service will be held at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday June 19, 2019 at 10:30 am. St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 40 Notre Dame Avenue, Sudbury. Cremation and Funeral direction by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury. Donations to the Aubé Children’s Trust Fund, CTV Lion’s Children Christmas Telethon or charity of your choice will be graciously accepted.
