In loving memory of Barry Larone, 64 years, who passed away suddenly in Sudbury on Thursday, October 11th, 2018. Beloved husband of 43 years to Donna Larone of Sudbury. Loving father of Kara Larone of Sudbury, Chris Larone of Milton and Callie Brabant (husband Sean) of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Aaliyah and Alexis. Dear brother of Bruce Larone of St. Catharines. Loving son-in-law of Betty and Gord Whalen of Sudbury. Also survived by his "furgranddaughter" named "LOKI" who he was very fond of. Barry was born in Pembroke on August 8th, 1954 to parents Nello and James Larone, both predeceased. He and his family moved to Greater Sudbury at an early age in his life. For nearly 30 years, Barry worked at Domtar in Nairn Centre and for many of those years, he was employed there as a supervisor and superintendent. For the last 4-5 years, Barry worked as iron worker out west. Barry was a past member of the Kinsmen Club were great memories were made. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and coaching baseball. He also loved playing pool at the Parkside Centre. In fact, Barry captured the National Snooker Championship in 2014. He had a long association with the game and served as President of the Ontario Snooker Association. What meant the most to Barry in life however was spending quality time with his family, especially with his granddaughters. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need, especially when it came to renovations. It was very easy for Barry to make friends and everyone who had a privilege of knowing him will miss him dearly. A celebration of Barry's life will take place at the Plaza Hotel on Bellevue Drive in Sudbury on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 starting at 6:00 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association or the MS Society, in Barry's memory, would be greatly appreciated by his family. Cremation arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North. (705) 470-7070
