On September 6, 2016 at the age of 63, Dan was greeted at heaven's door by his father Roland, after fighting a courageous battle against Pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by people he dearly loved at the Maison Vale Hospice, especially his loving Care Bear and life partner of 42 years, Estelle (Simon). He will be tremendously missed by his children Tina (Dan) and Patrick (Gen). Aiden, Bryson, Joshua and Téah will forever cherish their adoring grand-papa. Dan also held a special place in his heart for Dalya, Chloé and Dee. Also left to mourn this exceptional person are his mother Claire (Leroux), his brothers and sisters: Ronald (Giselle), Denise (late Marc), Normand (Ghyslaine), André (France) and Lina (Mike). He will fondly be remembered by several nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends and relatives. ''Nissan Dan'' retired after 43 years of service for various mining companies. SIMPLE WISHES OF THE NORTH will precede a funeral mass, which will be held at l'Église Ste-Anne-des-Pins on Friday, September 16th at 3:00 p.m. Following the service, family and friends are invited to continue to celebrate his life at the Monte Vista Golf Course in Val Caron from 4:30 - 8:00.
