Dwayne Patterson photo

Thanks to Jamie Dupuis for allowing us to share his gift of music

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother Dwayne on April 19th, 2018 in Kamloops B.C. at the age of 50 years. With his sister and two dear friends at his side, he peacefully joined our parents Raymond Patterson and Maxine (Rheault) Patterson and his little girl Cassandra Patterson. Loving husband and best friend to Kenda Gerard. Beloved brother of Stacie Patterson (Mike) and Kevin Patterson (Lynn). Loving father to Kimberly Patterson (Nick) and Cassandra Patterson. Beloved step-father to Tyler Harkies (Dani). Grandfather to Jackson and Easton. Papa Wayne to Tori and Luke. Loving uncle DD to Skyler Potvin (Sam), Kreston Potvin (Lori), Kara Potvin (Shane), Johnathan, Samantha (Chris), Danika Young and Darcie Young. Dear great-uncle to Alyssa, Alexa, Jayla, Hayden, Autume, Zoey, Abel, Keyarra, Serenity and Damen. He will be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and his fur baby Nuk. Dwayne lived in Sudbury up until July of 2017 when he made the decision to follow his dream and moved to Clearwater B.C. where he loved looking at the beauty, the trees, the mountains and enjoying the smells. Dwayne, when able, loved to garden, to fish, he went on many fly-ins to find “the perfect spot”. He loved to draw and do woodcarvings where he produced beautiful pieces. Dwayne had a tremendous impact on anyone who met him. A kind loving man who loved to help people. He welcomed anyone and he loved hard. A heart filled thank you to Kenda. We will be forever grateful for loving our brother unconditionally and taking care of him. The kind, loving and unselfish person you are, our gratitude is forever in our hearts. Join us to celebrate our brother Dwayne on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at 1 pm at 1047 Sunnybrae Avenue in Sudbury. Dwayne attended Sudbury Secondary School and with his passion for gardening and helping people, the family asks in lieu of flowers to donate to Sudbury Secondary greenhouse (by cheque) in his honor or gofundme.com/sssindoorgreenhouse.
