In loving memory of Edmund “Joe” Sévigny who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Sunday, June 4th, 2017 at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Regelous) of Sudbury. Loving father of Darren Sévigny of Prince George, B.C., Donna-Lynn Sévigny (Shane Dunn) of Elliot Lake and Nicole Lamirande (Lee) of Copper Cliff. Cherished grandfather of Erika, Jackson, Sabrina, Adam, Zachary and Olivia and great-grandfather of Alexandria-Lynn and Alyssa-Ann. Dear brother of Colleen Carty of Sudbury, Patrick (predeceased), Max (Theresa) of Sudbury, Margaret Van Allen of Innisfil, Paul (Linda predeceased) of Sudbury and Mary Therrien (Denis) of Blezard Valley. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Joe was born in Sudbury on June 11th, 1946 to parents Irene and Ted, both predeceased. For well over 40 years, Joe worked as a heavy duty mechanic at NIMS Disposal. In his spare time, he enjoyed anything to do with cars, whether it would be fixing them or seeing them in races. Joe also loved travelling, especially to the Mattawa Voyageur Days. He will be remembered as a very independent man with a quiet wisdom about him. Nothing bothered Joe and he was always willing to help anyone in need. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A celebration of Joe’s life will take place at the Lockerby Legion (Long Lake Road in Sudbury) on Sunday, June 11th, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Prayers to begin at 2:00 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Foundation (by cheque please) would be greatly appreciated by the family.     Linda, Darren, Donna & Nicole & families: We send our deepest sympathy on the passing of Joe. He was a gentle giant in the way he handled all his health issues over the years. Now he can rest quietly. I am sure he will be keeping an eye on everyone from above so never fear he is not far away. Prayers to all.

    Linda, Darren, Donna, Nicole and the whole Sevigny family; Bev and I send our deepest sympathies for the passing of Joe. I will always remember him as a quiet and pleasant man. I can still remember when Linda and Joe were married and young Darren at the wedding talking up a storm. All our love, Katherine (Kathy Taylor) and Bev Hewitt.
