In loving memory of Edward “Ed” Sagetcheway who passed away at Pioneer Manor in Sudbury on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of Marlene Sagetcheway (predeceased 2016). Loving father of Leonard and Laird (both predeceased). Dear step-father of Dwayne Ritchie (wife Melanie) of Garson and Jodi Cormier (husband Gerry) of Azilda. Cherished grandfather of Billy, Brandon, Darian and Dalton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Rina Black and brother Clifford Saunders. Ed was born in Chapleau (Brunswick House First Nation) on May 11th, 1938, the son of Jessie and Renison (both predeceased). He had been a resident of Sudbury for many years and worked at CN Rail as a spiker for well over 30 years. Some of his favourite pastimes were playing cribbage and cards, watching baseball and going for walks. Ed will be remembered as a very loving and caring man who had a great sense of humour. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation, in Ed’s memory, would be greatly appreciated by his family. Cremation arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North. (705) 470-7070
