Giles Simard

In loving memory of Giles Simard, of Dowling, who passed away suddenly on Monday, August 21st, 2017 at the age of 64 years. Dear brother Raymond (wife Barbara) of Pembroke, Robert (wife Nicole) of Levack, Paul (wife Kathy) of Chelmsford and Carole (husband Richard Desormeaux) of Calgary. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Giles was born in Sarnia on July 4th, 1953 to parents Yollande and Jean-Paul Simard, both predeceased. For about 30 years, he worked for INCO at their mill and retired in 2007. Spending time in the great outdoors was something he greatly enjoyed, especially fishing and hunting. He will be remembered as a quiet and easy going kind of guy who loved being in the company of his dog Bailey. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A graveside committal service will take place in Chelmsford at a later date. Donations, in memory of Giles, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
