For most of his adult life, he worked as a hoisting engineer for various companies. Some of his favourite pastimes were watching wrestling and tinkering in his garage. Gilles could fix anything. He will be remembered as an individual who was outspoken and always told the truth, a man with a great sense of humour and someone who was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved being surrounded by his loving family and his dear wife Elizabeth meant the world to him. In his opinion, she could do no wrong. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A committal service will take place at the Civic Cemetery Mausoleum in Sudbury on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Donations, in Gilles’ memory, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North. (705) 470-7070
