The family announces with great sorrow his passing at his residence in Sudbury on Tuesday, September 27th, 2016 at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband of June (Stevenson) of 49 years. Loving father of Lori Racine (husband Rob) of Timmins and Jamie. Much loved grandfather of Tyler Racine and Cameron Racine. Jim took great pride in their accomplishments. Beloved son of Charles and Alberta, both predeceased. Dear brother of the late Ron Wicks (surviving wife Barbara of Brampton) and Anita Flesher (late husband Stan) of Hanmer. Uncle to 7 nieces and nephews. Jim worked for the Ministry of Transportation for 31 years retiring in 1995. He enjoyed renovating their home and yard. In his younger days, classic cars and snowmobiling brought great joy to his life. He will also be remembered as an avid Maple Leaf and Blue Jays fan. But best of all, Jim loved being around his family. Special thanks to CCAC, Bayshore, The Shared Care Team, Claire, Gabby, Jenny, Don, Allison and Jennifer, to a great friend Terry for all her help and to Stéphane Aubé of Simple Wishes for his kind assistance and professionalism. At Jim's request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North. (705) 470-7070
