In loving memory of John (Jack) William Churchill, of Markstay, who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Monday, September 24th, 2018 at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda (nee Horner) of Markstay. Loving father of Jon Churchill of Lethbridge Alberta and Kim Churchill of Markstay. Cherished grandmother of Shelby, Connor, Sierra and Eben. Dear brother of Patricia Ogston of Stouffville and the late Ron Churchill (wife Maureen also predeceased). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Jack was born in Toronto on February 3rd, 1945 to parents Adele (nee Bilecki) and John Edward Churchill, both predeceased. For over 45 years, Jack worked as a long haul truck driver for several companies. Before settling in Markstay about a year ago, he and Linda had also resided in Bowmanville and Lethbridge. In his younger years, Jack enjoyed playing baseball and football and horseback riding. He will be remembered as an amazing individual who was very sweet and kind and had a heart of gold. Jack loved animals, especially dogs, and was a real social butterfly. His family meant the world to him and spending time with them always brought a smile to his face. Jack was one of a kind and will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the SPCA, in Jack’s memory, would be greatly appreciated by his family. Cremation arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North. (705) 470-7070

I knew Jackie since he was a teenager and I knew him to be one of the true “good guys”. He was a great brother in law and will be missed as a loving family man and a great dog lover.

My deepest condolences to you Linda and your family. For the short time that I knew Jack it leaves me a very strong impression of him. He was a very kind and gentle soul with the greatest sense of humor and he loved his family greatly. May you find the strength to move on to another chapter of your life with him in your heart and always looking over you. I do hope some day our paths will cross but know I am here if I can help out anytime.
