Surrounded by her loving family, Léonie Gravelle (née Houle) passed away at her residence in Val Caron on Wednesday, October 12th, 2016 at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of the late Cléophas Gravelle (predeceased 2004). Devoted mother of Richard Gravelle (wife Gloria) of Val Caron, Pauline Lavigne (husband Michel) of Corbeil, Monique Philippe (husband Marc) of Val Thérèse and Linda Beaulieu (Heiner) of Oshawa. Cherished grandmother of Charles, Roxanne, Chantale, Michelle, Danielle, Natalie, Amanda, Jocelynn and Alain and great-grandmother of Mitchell, Kiera, Félix, Brayden, Brooke, Léo, Nadia, and Malika. Dear sister of Lilianne Gravelle (husband Conrad) of Hanmer, Henri Houle (wife Marie) of Hanmer, Roland Houle (wife Diane) of Noëlville, Paul Houle (late wife Diane) of Sudbury, Normand Houle of Hanmer, Suzanne Topolnisky (husband David) of Fenelon Falls and Lorraine Sutherland of Oshawa. Léonie was born in Noëlville on February 8, 1939, the daughter of Ovila and Léona (both predeceased). Her past time was playing bingo and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought great joy to her life. She will be remembered as a loving individual who was always willing to help anyone in need and treated everyone with great respect. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A memorial mass, to celebrate Léonie's life, will take place at Ste-Marguerite d'Youville Church in Val Thérèse on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment of ashes at the Valley East Cemetery.
