In loving memory of Lionel Henry Lauzon who passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Sudbury on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Pauline (nee Reshetylo). Dear father of André (Debbie) of Sudbury and Sean (Dora) of Timmins. Beloved grandfather of Vanessa, Rochelle and Julianna. Loving brother of Jeannine Crowther of London. He will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Lionel was born in Kirkland Lake on June 10th, 1945 to parents Jeanne D'Arc and Lionel Nelson Lauzon, both predeceased. Lionel worked as a high school teacher in Kirkland Lake and Iroquois Falls for more than 25 years. He was a passionate outdoorsman enjoying many years of hunting, fishing and canoeing. Being a hockey coach for several years also brought great happiness to his life. He will be remembered as a private person who also loved travelling, skiing and a good game of golf. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A private interment will take place in Kirkland Lake at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Dialysis Unit at Health Sciences North.
