Marion Mainprize photo

Thanks to Jamie Dupuis for allowing us to share his gift of music

In loving memory of Marion Mainprize who passed away at St. Gabriel’s Villa in Chelmsford on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at the age of 67 years. Beloved wife of Jim Mainprize of Chelmsford. Loving mother of Robert Mainprize, Melissa Dermody (husband David) and Michael Mainprize, all of Chelmsford. Cherished grandmother of Cassandra, Corey, Connor and Kaitlyn. Dear sister of Michael Silke (wife Barbara) of Petawawa. Marion was born in Pembroke on August 27th, 1949, daughter of Regina and Grant Silke (both predeceased). She grew up in Petawawa and moved to Chelmsford in 1974. In her healthier years, Marion’s passion was gardening and simply spending time in the great outdoors. During the winter months, she enjoyed raising flowers in her grow station inside her home. Crafts and reading were also some of her favourite pastimes. Marion was known as a great cook and had many special recipes that no one could duplicate. She will be remembered as an individual who was full of life and for being the matriarch of the family. She touched the lives of so many in a positive way and will be missed by all who knew her. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gabriel’s Villa or the Alzheimer’s Society (Sudbury-Manitoulin) would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North. (705) 470-7070

I will truly miss you cousin Marion since we grew up almost together. Your contagious laugh is still echoing in my memory whenever we got into a laughable moment and we always added to the situation to make it more unstoppable histarics. You kept the family together like a anchor and my cousin in law always was happy so that says a lot about a person if they can do that. Jim you were the best husband for my cousin one could ever find, thank you for being Marions honeydoo as she would tease you when she needed anything. Good Bye Marion…..Herb Zielkie.
