Marion Mainprize

In loving memory of Marion Mainprize who passed away at St. Gabriel's Villa in Chelmsford on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at the age of 67 years. Beloved wife of Jim Mainprize of Chelmsford. Loving mother of Robert Mainprize, Melissa Dermody (husband David) and Michael Mainprize, all of Chelmsford. Cherished grandmother of Cassandra, Corey, Connor and Kaitlyn. Dear sister of Michael Silke (wife Barbara) of Petawawa. Marion was born in Pembroke on August 27th, 1949, daughter of Regina and Grant Silke (both predeceased). She grew up in Petawawa and moved to Chelmsford in 1974. In her healthier years, Marion's passion was gardening and simply spending time in the great outdoors. During the winter months, she enjoyed raising flowers in her grow station inside her home. Crafts and reading were also some of her favourite pastimes. Marion was known as a great cook and had many special recipes that no one could duplicate. She will be remembered as an individual who was full of life and for being the matriarch of the family. She touched the lives of so many in a positive way and will be missed by all who knew her. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gabriel's Villa or the Alzheimer's Society (Sudbury-Manitoulin) would be greatly appreciated.
