Marvin Basto photo (2)

Thanks to Jamie Dupuis for allowing us to share his gift of music

Marvin Dean Basto, age 57, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, April 24th, 2017 after a courageous battle against cancer. Marvin was a lifelong Sudburian who loved fishing, following the stock market and spending time with his close-knit family. He was an incredible father to John (husband Robert), Brent (fiancée Carrie) and Tiffany (fiancé Tyler). Loving brother of Kevin (wife Renita), Carolin (husband Gerry) and beloved son of Eila Basto (nee Koskiniemi) and the late Niilo Basto. Marvin will be remembered as an easy going, extremely caring and humble man, always willing to help anyone in need. A celebration of his life will be held at the TownePlace Suites by Marriot (1710 Kingsway, Sudbury) on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with eulogies starting at 1:00 p.m. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly. No flowers please. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation, in his memory, would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North. (705) 470-7070
