Myra Lapointe

In loving memory of Myra Lapointe who passed away at Health Sciences North on Monday, June 6th, 2016 at the age of 67 years. Beloved mother of Roger Lachance (wife Shelly) of Hanmer, Charlene Trudel (husband Roch) of Val Caron and Raymond Lachance of Chelmsford. Cherished grandmother of Brittany, Katlyn, Kurtis, Mathew, Cassandra, Jessica, Aiden, Rebecca and Kaitlin and great-grandmother of Vada and Miah. Dear sister of Effie Skakoon (late husband Eddy) of Val Caron, Harold Lapointe (wife Cindy) of Azilda, Lawrence Lapointe (wife Diane) of Val Caron, Diane Lapointe of Sudbury, Viola Lachance (husband Richard) of Val Caron and Jackie Ostrowalker (Terry Ricker) of Val Caron. She was predeceased by her sister Joanne Rossi (surviving husband Pat of Sudbury) and by her brother Walter (surviving wife Denise of Sudbury). Myra was born in New Brunswick on March 30th, 1949, daughter of Yvonne (nee Mercier) and Walter Lapointe, both predeceased. She relocated to the Sudbury region with her family at a young age. Myra enjoyed spending time at the casino and playing cards, especially Rummoli, but most of all, she treasured time spent with her family. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. A celebration of Myra's life will take place at St. Kevin's Catholic Church in Val Therese on Thursday, June 9th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes to follow at the Valley East Cemetery.
