In loving memory of Rainer Bluth who passed away at Health Sciences North on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Alice (nee Groulx) of Hanmer. Loving father of Claudette Delenardo (husband Michael) of Kitchener and Kurt Bluth (wife Peggy) of Thunder Bay. Cherished grandfather of Andrew (wife Keshia), Alyssa, Christopher, Ryan and Patrick. Also survived by his sister Hannelore Pfeiffer of California. Predeceased by his brother Ewald and by his sisters Anita Jager and Christa Weldrick. Rainer was born in Germany on March 23rd, 1938, the son of Kurt and Charlotte (both predeceased). He came to Canada in 1957 and worked in the mines in Northern Ontario. He moved to Sudbury from Timmins in 1968 and worked at Nickel Range Hotel. For several years, Rainer owned and operated a gas station in Hanmer. Prior to that, he ran B&N Motors in the Flour Mill with his partner Nik Nikodem (deceased). Rainer also worked for Boart Canada. Some of his favourite pastimes were fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time at his camp on Manitoulin Island. Rainer will be remembered as an outgoing individual who loved to tease and socialize. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Foundation, in his memory, would be greatly appreciated.     Uncle Rainer …. funny, always joking, loved adventure that’s how I remember him when I was young. Our families were miles apart but our memories will always be close to our hearts. My deepest sympathy to aunt Alice and the family. With Love, your cousin, Gabi. Oxox
