Robert Gridley

In loving memory of Robert "Bob" William Gridley who passed away suddenly in Scarborough on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016 at the age of 60 years. Beloved father of Matthew and William "Billy" Gridley of Sudbury. Bob also leaves behind the mother of his two sons, Kathy Gridley of Sudbury. Dear brother of Marian Gridley of Yarmouth, NS. Loving uncle of Sarah Robicheau and Tammy Muise. He was predeceased by his parents Mary Gridley-Silver and William Gridley who resided in Yarmouth, NS and his sister Judy During. Robert was born on December 26th, 1955 in Yarmouth, NS. He left his place of birth at a young age and set out for Toronto where he met Kathy and proceeded to marry her on April 30, 1983. In 1989, their first son William was born followed by their second son Matthew in 1992. Robert loved his children unconditionally and would talk about them endlessly to anyone he met whether it was someone on the street or an old friend. He was an avid Red Sox fan his entire life and would cheer for them no matter the odds. Robert worked for The Adelaide Companies for several years then formed his own company called BMG Window Cleaning (Billy, Matthew Gridley = BMG). As per his wishes, cremation has taken place therefore there will be no visitation. A celebration of Robert's life will take place at the TownePlace Suites by Marriot (1710 The Kingsway in Sudbury) on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. All relatives and friends are invited to join the family for this special gathering. A graveside burial service will be held at a later date in Nova Scotia. In memory of Robert, donations to Angels with Attitude Sudbury would be greatly appreciated by the family.
