In loving memory of Robert Longpré who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Wednesday, October 3rd 2018 at the age of 67 years. Beloved husband of Patricia “Pat” (nee Birmingham) of Sudbury. Loving father of Lyndsi and Lauren, both of Sudbury. Special Papa of his three cats. He is survived by two brothers. Also survived by his loving mother-in-law Yvonne Birmingham, and his in-laws, Bill and Carol Birmingham, and Pierre Caron (Wendy, predeceased). Rob will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Ben (“Cunningham”), Lynn, Joshua and Rebecca. Best friend of Fred and Gail Donivan of Chapleau. Robert was born in Chapleau on June 1st 1951 to Vada (nee Constantineau) and Maurice Longpré both predeceased. On June 25th 1988, he married the love of his life Pat. Some of his favourite pastimes were spent in the great outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and picking blueberries. An avid sports fan, Rob enjoyed watching hockey, especially the Montreal Canadiens and Sudbury Wolves. Rob will be remembered as a very family-oriented man who was very proud of his two daughters. He was an excellent story teller and master of the bad dad joke. When Rob became your friend, you were a friend for life. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation.
