Sharon Marie Peters

In loving memory of Sharon Marie (nee O'Neil) Peters, who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on Tuesday May 1, 2018 at the age of 73, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Sharon was born on June 22, 1944, grew up in Happy Valley (Falconbridge), and spent much of her life around Greater Sudbury. She also spent some formative years with her family in Deerfield and Yarmouth County, in Nova Scotia. A lifelong lady of Christian faith, she was an active member of the Anglican Church in Garson and Capreol. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching British and period-piece TV dramas, and spending quality time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her devoted husband of 40 years, Siegfried, and her children Sean and Nathan. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Malachi and Misha, as well as grand"pets" Oreo, Caramel, Shazba, Peebs, Jay, and Phoenix. She is also survived by her siblings Victoria, Jack, and Randy (Sharon), her nephew Patrick, her uncle John Nickerson (Joyce), and her Aunt Faye. She was predeceased by her parents Verral & Violet (nee Nickerson) O'Neil. She will be warmly remembered by numerous friends, neighbours, church acquaintances, and extended family. There will be a Memorial/Celebration of Life service at St. Alban's Anglican Church in Capreol on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Alban's Anglican Church (34 Dennie St., Capreol ON, P0M 1H0, 705-988-6401) AND/OR the Canadian Cancer Society, Sudbury & District (1764 Regent Street, Sudbury ON, P3E 3Z8, 705-670-1234, Email: sudbury@ontario.cancer.ca) would be greatly appreciated.
