In loving memory of Simone Violette (née Olivier) who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at the age of 78 years. Beloved mother of Wayne Violette (wife Karen) of Sudbury, Terry Violette (husband Fred) of Vancouver, Mark Violette (wife Joanne) of St. Charles and Colleen Violette of Sudbury. Also survived by the father of their children Paul Violette of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Corey, Maxine, Dustin, Desiree and Kyle and great-grandmother of Sylas and Teya. Dear sister of the late Leonard Olivier (surviving wife Irene of North Bay), Lorraine Tang (husband Earl) of Kingston, Richard Olivier (wife Eileen) of Campbell River, the late Alex Olivier (surviving wife Theresa of Sudbury), Joan Kennedy (husband Neil) of Kingston, Patsy Tulloch (husband Ron) of Kingston and Randy Olivier of Winnipeg. Simone was born in Coniston on March 2nd, 1938, daughter of Isabelle and Wilfred Olivier, both predeceased. She had been a resident of the Greater Sudbury area for all of her life. Aside from spending time with her family which she greatly enjoyed, Simone also loved her visits at the Canadian Hearing Society. In her healthier years, some of her favourite pastimes were knitting, crochet and crossword puzzles. She will be remembered as a vibrant and strong woman, one who knew how to make people smile and could become friends with anyone she came in contact with. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A celebration of Simone's life will take place at the TownePlace Suites by Marriot (1710 the Kingsway in Sudbury) on Friday, November 25th, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. All relatives and friends are invited to join the family for this special gathering.
