Thanks to Jamie Dupuis for allowing us to share his gift of music

In loving memory of Sylvia “Sam” Currie who passed away suddenly in Sudbury on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 at the age of 65 years. She leaves behind her son Stephen Currie. Dear sister of Anna Lagundija of Sault Ste. Marie. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Sudbury and California. Predeceased by her parents Alfhild (nee Stue) and Drago “Charlie” Lagundija. Sam was born in Austria on September 8th, 1951 and moved to Sudbury with her family as a very young child. For many years, Sam worked as a personal support worker at Extendicare Falconbridge and loved all the patients she had a privilege of looking after. Once you became a friend of Sam’s, you were a friend for life. One of her special gifts was knowing exactly how to make people laugh. She will be remembered as a kind and caring individual who was always willing to help anyone in need. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A celebration of her life will be held at the Abundant Life Healing Centre (360 Perreault St. in Sudbury) on Sunday, February 19th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. A time of fellowship will follow the service. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in Sam’s memory, would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements in care of Simple Wishes. (705) 470-7070
