Xian Xie

In loving memory of Xian Xie who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of Bing Qiang Guan (predeceased). Loving mother of Jian Zhong Guan (wife Mei Hua) of the United States, Jian Zhang Guan (wife Qing Sia) of China, Xiao Min Guan (husband Wei Qiang) of China, Xiao Wu "Angel" Fong (husband Chi Weng) of Sudbury and Jian Chuan Guan (wife Min Huang) of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Jin Miao, Jin Liang, Jin Shan, Jin Hua, Xiao Ping, Karen, Carrie, Kyle and Alvin. She also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren and 1 sister in New Jersey. She was predeceased by her only brother. Xian was born in China on July 7, 1933 and came to Sudbury in 1995. Some of her favourite pastimes were gardening and keeping the house nice and tidy. She will be remembered as a strong, caring and independent woman who loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She was always willing to help when she could. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. Donations to the Health Sciences North Foundation (ICU or Respiratory Therapy Fund), in Xian's memory, would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North.
